It seems like we can't do without a can of beer here *sound of can opening* ... well... @0xnimblecore and @samiseasoneth have previously created joint and personal collections for friends from the community, dedicated to memes that have been in our hearts since then. The idea that has always united us was to create something new on our own, to express ourselves as artists who can do something that no one has ever done before...well, at least to try to... One day we met and @0xnimblecore came up with his old idea. -what if we take a big pile of magazines, cut out some attributes and make an nft collection out of them? We fantasized a bit and dropped it after a while. Later we met again... wooh, god bless beer... so, we met again and remembered about the magazines. This time we talked details and decided to give it a chance, finally. The very next day @0xnimblecore came with a bunch of magazines, which he got from some garage sale. a lot of online markets, shops, ads for sale were checked... these magazines were collected from every corner of the city, some of them were taken from the post office. When we finally had enough, we started cutting out the attributes. Such a long and careful process. Months passed, cutting never stopped + we keep receiving more of magazines and our stock of attributes quickly increased. All in all, magazines from 1969 to 2009 were compiled. From paper to gloss. Finally, we nailed it. At this point, the pile of our magazines weighed exactly 198 kg, so guess where did the name of collection come from. The only thing needed to be done was to scan each of 1600 pieces and turn it into a collection somehow. We faced a problem at the scanning stage. The scanner that we bought for $20 turned out to be non-working. We started looking for another one and were happy to find it. Yes we do love scanners. @0xnimblecore has been scanning the attributes for three days. After it was done he sent all the files to @samiseasoneth so he could start the collecting part. Perhaps, the most difficult thing at the Photoshop stage was to keep all the boundaries of the attributes so they can perfectly match. I guess the reason for that was a non-standard forms we have already seen in our beloved collections. And yet, it seems that we succeeded. Therefore, we are happy to present it to you. 198kg.

While smoking a cigarette we finally decided to expand our history by creating one more chapter — the birth of the Vintage Warriors collection. The idea did not come shortly. Long evening discussions, talks with different artists, defining a concept — all of this became a part of the one of a hell process. One day, our friend Nimblecore came up with an idea: knights. NFT’s should be miniature, with a clear vision of proportions, so that each element should be matched perfectly. So, it was time to elaborate the concept with Sami. It became clear quite quickly that we need old magazines. We have defined the purpose of the collection: to evoke emotions through the visual art. In very that moment an active search began. We’ve been walking through different markets, surfing the Internet in order to find some magazines from the 90s and early 2000s, with preference to gaming and military stuff. Right after we got the full stack, the painstaking work has began. Our hands were already trained, and our eyes immediately highlighted the necessary attributes. In just a month, we’ve cut out about 1200 items. Two days later everything was scanned and handed out to Sami, who took over the Photoshot part. “- as for me, working on vw was extremely important. I have dedicated a huge part of my life to the Warcraft universe, I love the Elder Scrolls series…Diablo, for God’s sake. It is difficult to even imagine how many hours I’ve spent on it and the amount of pleasure I’ve got. After all the knowledge were gathered and a little of imagination was used, I started to create a collection. The Photoshop became more of a character creation editor, which helped me to write a new story about a mighty Hero and his endless deeds. This is how the history of "Vintage Warriors" began - a collection that became not only a creative challenge for us, but also a way to convey the aesthetics of the past through modern technologies.
